About RPI

Mission
Our mission is to strengthen our position as a center of excellence in global risk research in Bermuda. This involves expanding our academic links, international network of world-class scientists, and industry members and associations.

Overview of Activities
Based in Bermuda, the risk capital of the world, RPI facilitates natural catastrophe research relevant to the risk transfer industry, and assists in translating this research into usable and actionable results for our member companies.

Members of RPI receive reports, data deliverables and research output focused on addressing business relevant information on the science of extreme events. Through our focused workshops, industry seminars, and targeted in-house meetings, RPI participants have access to scientists and prestigious academic institutions, allowing them insight into current science, and input into the direction of future research.

Our local outreach programs entail working with student interns, supporting NGOs with advice on Bermuda natural hazards, and providing educational seminars for the benefit of the Bermuda public.
